December Daily Album- Christmas Mini Album

I'm desperately fighting a cold, so I'll keep this short and sweet. My nose hasn't stopped running for the past 2 hours. Lovely. I have taken all the immune boosting tea, Airborne, and Zicam swabs a woman can take. I think I need a nice nap. Blah!
Okay, so I thought I would share my December daily album (saw this idea on Ali Edwards blog) . I made my book 5X7" I really love the way it turned out. The pages are ready to be filled with pictures, music, recipes, notes and memories:
I kept the cover simple, just added some stickers, inked the edges and a MM Journaling Tag.
I always start my mini albums with some journaling. I think our Vintage Christmas Journaling Tags are the perfect addition for this project. I hope to fill this book with some recipes and pictures of our family traditions. One tradition is baking cookies. Last year I made the BEST Mexican wedding cookies. So delish! We tend to bake a lot during Christmas time. Adding the recipes to your favorite baked goods is a perfect idea!Last year I made a custom CD with Christmas music and sent them in handmade Christmas cards. I hope to make a new CD with new Christmas music this year. ;)

I used some vintage music note paper. It's perfect for my music page! I found mine at a thrift shop for 25 cents. Yup, a whole book for 25 cents. I've been using this book for a while now. Check your local thrift shops for music sheets! Easy and cheap! You can use a scalloped punch to make circles or use a border punch. (I used a Martha Stewart punch).I used all my scraps of rub-ons, and Hambly overlays for this album.
I also used these awesome Christmas Vintage Numbers from the shop. You can use all 25 or you can mix and match with other numbers. My personal favorite are Thickers.Adding envelopes to your album is the perfect way to store your private/personal journaling. I personally try to find different ways to hide my journaling. ;) I added some old overlays that I was hoarding from years past. Some of the papers are also very old. Well, if you call last year's paper old. haha. I found that our numbers matched perfect with older papers as well. It's a good way to use what you've been hoarding! ;)

I will definitely post pictures of the finished album at the end of December. If you would like to see more blank pages, you can check them out here.

Well, I'm off to sip on some Thera-flu and take my much needed nap. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!
