June Guest Designer#2- Mara-May Baca

Well, what can I say about this awesome girl? Mara and I have become good friends over the last year. We text or email frequently. I have had the pleasure of spending time with her personally too (she lives an hour away from me)-lucky me. I know if we lived closer, I would harass her a whole lot more. tehehe ;) Recently, I got a tour of her scrap room...uh...can we say, BEAUTIFUL!? It's just as beautiful as all her work! She has definitely been spoiled by her awesome handy-man hubby! He made her shelves/bookcases..etc.
If you have ever had the pleasure of meeting her in person, then you too will agree, this girl is the sweetest, most talented, and hilarious girl ever! Never a dull moment with her. No matter if it' an email, text, or in person, this girl makes me smile.
I absolutely love everything this girl creates.
Now, enough blabbing...on to her royal awesomeness:

one- I just got my first ever Mac desktop and I'm freakin' out! :)
two- I love love BallPark hot dogs. YUM!
three- During the summer I have to get acrylic on my toenails cause they're so thin and break so easily. Weird, but I can't wear sandals without pretty toenails! Heeeeeee
four- I've recently connected with one of my cousins and I never knew she was one of my best friends till this year. :) I adore her! I could hang out with her everyday and it would be a blast.
five- My baby just started walking... He gets into everything and is such a handful, but I just can't get over how adorable he is. He keeps me smiling all day long.
Um... At nite, when all of my responsibilities are asleep. :D
I started scraping in 2000 right before my first child, I didn't get deep until '04, there was a local LSS and ever since then I've been hooked! I started scrapping because I was going to have my first baby and I wanted him to have an original album... Not one with just pictures. ;)
Favorite memory... Hmm that's tough... A lot of things stand out in my mind from when I was a child, holidays, church, my family. I'm not sure I can pick a fave... Being a child is the best and even though I didn't know it at the time, I had amazing parents who made sure I had a wonderful upbringing. I do remember an extremely special moment in my life I was in 2nd grade and over the weekend on a Sunday I remember asking Christ to live in my heart... I was so happy I couldn't contain myself, I went to school and told my best friend all about it, I was confused when she had no idea what I was talking about so I asked her to come over to my house after school so my parents could give her a bible study. I was so excited to share the love of Jesus with her. It was an amazing feeling, one I'm sure I will never forget. :)
My favorite scrapping technique would have to be distressing... With inks, sanders, even the old fashioned "crumpling" of paper. Ha.
