July Guest Designer #1- Nicole Duenke

i have never flown on an airplane, but hoping to change that in the next year!-
i am a terrible pack rat.
i keep everything & my husband hates it! haha.-we've just started the exciting/stressful thoughts about owning our home sooner rather than later!
i want a big family. like, if money were no option, i'd love to have 4 or 5 kiddos running around!
i love frosted cheerios. seriously, i could them for every meal right now! :)

i am most creative whenever i have more than a few minutes. usually, in the evening...late, late at night when i'm waiting on my husband to get home from work!
i started scrapbooking during the summer of 98, when i was staying with my aunt & she had this huge box of papers & stickers! i just remember thinking, "THIS is sooo up my alley!", as i have always loved to create, but couldn't draw or paint, but i loved photos & journaling. combining the two just made perfect sense & i have been hooked ever since!
i had an awesome childhood, filled with many great memories, from camping with my family in the summers, to girlie sleepovers with friends, but one of my most cherished memories is with this lady; my granny! she was one of the best people i have ever known! we always had such a blast & i give her all the credit for my love for old, vintage finds, thrifting & finding the new in the old. she would pick me up when i was small & we would garage sale for hours!
i am a pretty simple scrapper, rarely sticking with any true techniques (aside from paper layering-if that's even a technique! ;)), but one of my favorite things to do on a layout is capture the story. i always have to include the date & the reason for the photo or the feelings behind what i'm scrapping. always.
song: lost, by katy perry
movie: the notebook. i know it's been out for a while, but it's one of my favorites! it makes me want to love in the south! :)
tv show: the little couple. how cute are those 2?! i adore them!
decorating. i am a sucker for new primitive or vintage finds for our little home! something about mixing & matching gets me goin'!

I know I sound like a broken record, but I just love every guest designer we have had so far...their styles are all so different yet, SO awesome. I love Nicole's simplicity. She inspires me to organize my layouts better and inspires me to work on my handwriting (her handwriting is AMAZING!) She also inspires me to use less product and tell the story! THANK YOU Nicole. We adore your spunky blog and wonderful projects!!
On to her wonderful projects!!

I will continue to apologize for our absence on this blog. I guess I never imagined what house hunting would do to us. :) It's amazing and frustrating all at once and we are VERY excited. We have placed a couple of bids here and there. We are also working on a HUGE launch of new tags. They will slowly make their grand appearance. ;) Thank you for all the Birthday wishes for Ethan you guys are the BEST!!
xoxo, Veronica
