a) My husband is currently deployed to Afghanistan.
b) My daughter, Hazel, just started kindergarten. Most of the kids in her class were crying for their parents not to leave. Not my girl... she's all ready to begin this adventure, and couldn't get me out of the classroom fast enough. I was the one who was crying. LOL!
c) I have been growing my own vegetable and fruit garden all summer, and have spent the last couple of months learning how to can and preserve them. It's so addicting, and I totally love it!
d) Regina Spektor and Holly Conlan are on constant rotation on my iPod... especially while I'm crafting.
e) I collect vintage Pyrex.
I'm definitely a night-owl. I'm at my mot creative when both the kids are tucked into bed, and all is peaceful in the house. There aren't any interruptions, I can listen to my music, and just get lost in the creative process.
I started scrapbooking in 2004 right after my daughter was born. It was a natural transition from the hobby of rubberstamping that I was already involved in, and I wanted to start preserving memories and family history for my daughter.
When I was younger, my grandparents lived in El Paso where I would usually visit them for a couple of weeks in the summer. They would always take me on a trip to New Mexico... either Albuquerque or Santa Fe. I just adored it there! The culture, the handmade crafts, the food, the natural beauty of the land... it's truly a magical place!
Glittering. I can't create without some sparkle, and glitter is my favorite way to add that extra touch. Loose glitter, glitter spray paint, Stickles... I love it all!

Cooking. I absolutely love being in the kitchen... it is the heart of my home.
