Around the House: chalkboard message frame

I've been busy setting up our house with little details and unpacking the remaining boxes from the garage. Yes, we moved in around January 1st and we still have boxes.
I created this cool chalkboard message board for those times I can't find a pen and paper to jot down a date or message. I placed this on my wall near my kitchen counter.

I started with some chalkboard paint. I used Valspar brand from Lowes. I measured my oval from the frame and painted it on the wall. After it dries, cut out a frame from some Silhouette vinyl using a Silhouette machine. Albert made the frame for me and I simply peeled it and stuck it to the wall.

I absolutely love it! Well, the baby is awake...see ya later.

When I get my own place, chalkboard paint WILL be the first thing I implement into design, haha. It looks like so much fun! And I really love the frame.
