Maddie's First Birthday

Hello! I'm back to share a quick party post. We had a small get together for our sweet baby girl. It was SUCH a WONDERFUL celebration!
I've said this before, this is my in-laws ONLY granddaughter and to say she is spoiled and adored by everyone is an understatement!
The day had beyond perfect weather. It was a breezy 73 degrees. LOVE IT!!!
Here are the inside decorations:

I made big pompoms and found the paper lanterns on clearance at Michaels.

I always dress up my mantel. :) This time I made a Maddie shrine. lol I printed pictures from the last 12 months, one for each month.

The easiest thing for me to make is a small candy buffet. I added tons of pink candy on one table:

My sister made Maddie strawberry cupcakes:

The candy labels were made using washi tape and a paper doily super easy:

I bought some glassine bags from etsy and asked my friend to dry emboss them. Then I added a small label to each bag:

I bought 2 dozen roses and stuck them in mason jars, wrapped some washi tape around for these lovely centerpieces:

I really didn't have a theme this time. I planned this party in ONE week. So it was a  "country" pink polka dot party of sorts.

We sipped iced tea and lemonade from mason jars with pink paper straws:

Did I mention the heavenly cupcakes? lol mmm

The item that impressed the guest the most were these:

I was inspired by an invite from online for the labels but can't find it now...here are the delicious push pops: 

Everything was girly and pink.

Maddie's grandpa made her a queen size pinata:

This thing was HUGE. She loved hitting it:

I also had time to make her a birthday tutu:

I revamped an old high chair to match the colors better too. it was a busy week.

She loved the cake:

We laughed, ate, mingled, the kids played in the beautiful weather. SO LOVELY.
