Indian Summer step by step layout with Kasia

Hello and welcome on Tuesday!

It's Kasia here and I would like to share with you layout about my favorite time of the year when the summer hasn't finished quite yet but the crispy mornings and colorful leaves remind us about autumn ahead. ─░ndian summer is in full swing in Istanbul :)

Today I also prepared a step by step tutorial where you can have a peek at my process while creating this layout.

I prepare my base. I like to choose 2-3 papers matching to my picture and general mood of the page I want to create. I decide where I'd like to place the photograph.

I create some paper layers under the photo area- tags are perfect for it! I use tags from random lines and coordinate their colors- in here you can see mix of Birthday Cake Artisans and Snip'em tags plus a tag from Autumn Days line . I also have a look through my box with random tags scraps and try to incorporate some of them.

I put my photo on it's spot (without glueing it) and add more layers- stickers, washi tape etc.

Before adhering the picture I like to add some paints to my pages. It always creates a fun, artsy look. For this page I applied some white acrylic paint and before it dried I mixed in some yellow and gold shades.

I add some extra little stickers trying to remember about creating a visual triangle either with colors, shapes or embellishments.

I stamp some sentiments and images on my layout. To achieve a softer look I replaced my usual black ink with light, chalk ink matching the colors of my page.

I like to place my title at the end of creating layout. At this moment I can have a look over the page and decide where I can place extra things like tiny stickers, paint splashes or little stamped images.

The last step is to add journaling. I like handwritten sentences on my layout and I really don't worry about little imperfections. Recently I love writing journaling with a pencil- the color, the texture and the look are a little bit more rough this way :)

Above you can see the finished page and some of close up shots :) If you have any questions please share them in the comments below! We are looking forward to seeing your creations!
