It is Saturday and that means it's a Project Life day around here on the Chic Tags blog! It is Malika blogging today and this week I am going to show you a quick way to get caught up on a Project Life week, when you are feeling a little behind and overwhelmed.
We spent a week this summer at a beach house up in Canada with our family... of course I took lots of pictures and I have made some layouts and even started a little mini album about the trip... but what about my Project Life that week? Well, I decided that most of my stories will be on the layouts or the mini album and so I took one of my favorite pictures and had it blown up big. I had to go to 12x16 to get the height that I needed and then I cut it down so I had a 12x12 to work with. From there, I just kept cutting and used this giant picture as my whole page. Yes, it was scary cutting up the picture, but I knew that I could always reprint. I still made a date card and stuck it where I usually do.
The right side of this Project Life spread is mainly pictures, just one journaling card. Again, I know that my stories will be in other places so I felt that I could just fill the pockets with some of my favorite pictures of the trip. It was simple and quick and stress free... and best of all, it got me caught back up to current time (I think I may need to do this more often!)
Here are some close up pictures of my embellishments:
I found an old Chic Tags ice cream tag...perfect!
So give it a try! I'd love to see more cropped photos on Project Life pages. Link them up here if you are willing to try it!
