Christmas Cheer

Hello Chic Tags fans, today I would like to share a layout and a fun way to use the wonderful rub-ons from the Good Tidings collection. These new gold rub-ons are fabulous, they apply so very well with no tearing. I thought it would be fun to use them to add a bit more dimension to my layout.

In order to add more detail to my layout, I applied the rub-ons to velum paper. Which I trimmed using scissors and punches. Then I applied a bit of glue to keep them in place on my layout, of course I added a bit of stitching to add even more details to the stars. This also makes the edges of the star lift away from the cardstock, which creates that extra dimension I was seeking.

As you can see I also added plain velum stars, this is just to mix things up to make them more fun and interesting. The stamped stars are from the Good Tidings stamp set collection.

The Good Tidings collection is full of wonderful accents stickers and die cuts. Instead of using pattern paper to create the layers I used the a lot accents die cuts and stickers.

The stamps from this collection are also wonderful, I did mix in some stamps from the Happy Place collection. I just love this ampersand, stamping it in red ink just added that extra punch colour that was needed at the bottom of the picture.
