Hi there and happy Sunday to you!!
Stephanie here with you today to share the first few pages of my December Daily album. I love this project so much. It's probably one of my very favorite projects of the year. This year I am using the Gossamer Blue December Memories kit, which contains so many amazing Chic Tags products, as well as my stash!!
The colors of the Good Tidings collection are perfect for the holiday season!! I love the soft blues and gold.
To begin my book, I decided to create a pocket from the Tree Top Gold Foil 12x12 paper. I always have lots of little "extras" that I like to keep in our album but don't always want to create a whole page or spread for them. With this little pocket, I can slip in anything holiday related and then grab it out if I want to add it into my album later in the month.
Creating a pocket is so easy and simple! First decide on the width and height of your pocket, fold the bottom 1/3 of your patterned paper up and sew the sides down. I ended up adhering a piece of white card stock to the back of my patterned paper to make it a little sturdier!!
On the left is the backside of my pocket. That soft blue tree top paper is my fave!! :) My son's birthday falls on December 1, so we start our holiday month with a big birthday celebration!! I added a larger photo to my patterned paper and then added in little bits and pieces as some accents. I had an extra picture that I wanted to include on this day, so I trimmed down half of a page protector and added a photo on a tag and my date.
The Snip'Em tags are perfect for adding sentiments to your projects!
Day 2 was all about getting out our Christmas books. I didn't have too much journaling on this day, so I included lots of little fun tags, buttons and wood veneer!
A very simple day for us. Nothing too exciting and this picture wasn't even taken on this day. I'm totally fine with that. I love the simplicity of the undecorated tree and decided to include a larger photo of our tree on the right hand side of the spread. The left side includes some of my thoughts and feelings as we enter the holiday season, as well as part of a Starbucks cup that I punched out with my circle punch!!
My sweet little elf. :)
Lots of pictures and some journaling!
On the 5th, we had a visit from a cute little elf friend named "Happy"! I couldn't resist including the letter that my daughter wrote to our elf. She wrote it on an 8.5x11 piece of paper so I just snapped a photo of it and printed it out at 3x4 inches. Easy peasy!!
Day 5 & Day 6
This spread has an extra photo of our little elf, as well as our Christmas play dough craft. Simple photos!!
More photos, words and tags about our gingerbread play dough! Such a big hit at our house!!
The "made with love" icon tag from the Good Tidings collection couldn't be more perfect for this page!!
On the 7th, my son had his birthday party with his friends. For this page, I used a piece of chipboard packaging and embossed white stars all over the page. I added the doily, photo and a few tags from the Birthday Cake collection to finish it off!
And that's it from me today!! I can't believe we are already 8 days into December!! How is your album coming??
Thanks so much for joining me today!!
