Right Now

Hello Chic Tags friends! Melanie here today to share a non-traditional school themed layout. Since we are mid-way in the school year I thought it would be fun to highlight my oldest daughter's achievements at school. Of course the School House collection was perfect for this layout.

I didn't have a school theme picture but I didn't feel that it really mattered, since her accomplishments were the focus of this page. I simply used a recent picture of her to create my layout.

This stamp was part of the Christmas Chic Tags exclusive kit, I just love this fun versatile stamp! Not only was it perfect for my Christmas project life but it's also one of my new go to stamp, with 4 girls in my house, this stamp is ideal.

I used the label stickers for my journaling. I adhered them on a piece of scrap paper to be able to run it through my typewriter.  I like to layer stamps and rub-ons, I especially like to stamp my images until the ink runs out, I enjoy the messy effect it creates.

The number stamp is part of this School House collection, to highlight that my daughter is in 4th grade I used markers to colour the stamp. Love how the teal brings attention to the number I want to highlight.

I hope you are inspired to create a non-traditional school themed layout. Just grab a recent picture of your little one and journal those highlights.

Just a side note, have you seen the latest Chic Tags exclusive kit?! It's fabulous and in limited quantities. You can see it in the store ----> Chic Tags - Exclusive Kit - January 2014
