3D layout video tutorial

Hi everyone! Jen Chesnick with you today with another video tutorial.  This month I focused on how I create 3d shaped layouts.  In the layout below I will walk you through how I set them up and cut them out with my Cameo.  After you watch the video check out the photos below for close ups of the process of putting it all together!

So once I had my paper cut I got set to make it 3D.  I use a couple things to achieve this.  I always pick up the corrugated card stock intending to use it and I don't!  So I use it as filler between my pages.  I also stock up on kids craft foam.  I use it for loads of stuff that I don't want to use my expensive 3D dots and strips on.

I cut pieces out and adhere it beneath each layer.  I use liquid glue, but tape runners also stick to the foam.

You can see the nice dimension you get with just that little bit of foam.

Since I added depth between the layers that means I build up my elements a ton.  For my photo I added foam and foam strips to make sure it didn't' sink into my star.

Hope you enjoyed!

Love this page! Thanks for the tips - I'll have to try this idea...I'm sure I have craft foam somewhere. ;) Love all the embellies across the star too!
