LEGOland

Hello, hello!  Oh, it has been a while since I have been here on the blog... actually on any blog at all (including my own)!  I took a break over Spring Break... and just didn't come back till now!  But that doesn't mean I haven't been creating!  Today I have a layout to share of a picture from Spring Break.
Lately I have enjoyed using big, huge letters on my layouts for titles or even just as a symbol for something.  I have split my page into two halves here.  One half is for the picture and the other holds the title.  I love the look of the two patterned papers as the background (I am almost always an all white background kind of scrapper).

Though I wanted my big letters to be a focus on the page, using similar colors to the background helped blend them in.  Tone on tone is one of my favorite trends in scrapbooking right now.  I used a turquoise pattern from the Happy Place collection to cut out my letters and stuck them on the turquoise patterned paper from the School House collection.

Here, I have lots of layers under my photo as a mat.  I love adding layers of labels and tags.

Well it is good to back on the blog!  Thanks for coming by!
