Hallo, it's Janine Langer here today with my first post on the Chic Tags blog.

Three years ago, we went on a winter trip to South England and there I took one of my favorite photographs ever! But unfortunately I never had the need to create a layout with it. When I first saw the wonderful Let's Go Collection by Chic Tags I immediately thought of that photograph and felt so inspired to create something with it. As the result was a layout that I love, I thought about turning it into a sketch.

So, first of all, this is the sketch, based on my layout.

As you can see, the main focus on the layout is the photograph. I am obsessed with large photos on layouts lately. That's the chance for all your favorite photographs to get a special place, not only in your heart, but also on your scrapbook layouts!

I decided to use the Let's Go "Missing You" Pattern Paper as a background, because it is neutral and doesn't take the focus of my photograph. But I cut off the stripes and adhered them seperately on the top and the bottom of the layout and sewed over it.

The title of the layout is printed directly on my photo, using the Chic Tags - Cut File - Summer Titles, as well as the journaling. Then it was all about embellishments. I love wood veneer and you hardly see a layout I created without using at least a few Cloud 9 Sequins, because it adds such a wonderful interest and texture on your layout. Also wood veneer ist versatile, you can change colors in a heartbeat!

I hope this sketch inspires you to get creative and tell us something about your favorite pictures that need to be the center of the layout. You are invited to leave a link in the comments, I'd love to see what you come up with! :)

Brilliant layout and adore how you have used a large photograph rather than a series of smaller one. Your page is both striking and imaginative. Lou x
