Love & Grace

Hello there everyone! Suz back today with a few tips to share that I implemented in the creation of this layout that celebrates 19 years of marriage to my hubby; Mick.

First of all, one of my favorite things to do with a fun patterned paper like the Cloud 9 "Celebrate" paper above, is to cut into the patterned paper with a craft knife and to tuck other patterned paper (or in this case, Cloud 9 Mini Icon tags) behind the openings and then stitch around the cut areas as shown below:

The other tip is to a way to alter tags to fit your design. While I loved the hexagon "big deal" tag included in the exclusive February Chic Tags kit, I didn't really want to introduce a hexagon pattern into my design since I already had so many circles being repeated. So, to repeat my circle pattern,
I simply adhered the tag close to the edge of a piece of scrap paper.

Then I simply lined up the punch so it was centered over the tag, and punched away leaving a circle shaped tag.

Here are a few close ups of the rest of my layout so you can better see the dimension and texture.
