Hey everyone! Tracy here again! I hope you all had a great summer! I don't know about you, but I'm ready for fall! It's my favourite season, nothing better than curling up with hot chocolate, your dog and a sappy movie. My favourite! Something else that I love? Using pink and gold in my scrapbooking.
I'll let you in on a secret. I'm bad with the whole journal thing. It feels kind of weird to me and I'd rather just use photographs to tell a story. However, sometimes, you need to add some text. For this spread, I wanted to include two journal cards to go with the two photographs. Side note: I'm still loving full 6x8 photos. I took two plain grid cards and cut two of the 2x2 Cloud 9 squares diagonally. I used double sided tape to stick them onto the journal card. I then used a ruler to lightly draw out lines (rookie mistake, I forgot to erase the lines before taking pictures) which I then journaled along. I think it's kind of neat to add text that's on an angle.
I also cut down a piece of the amazing Cloud 9 gold foil "Sunday Best" paper so use as a filler card. Man, I love adding gold. I then added a Cloud 9 flair badge on top. This one is my favourite and I wish I had a million more of them. I'm really happy with how I was able to tie in the colours from the photos with the colours of the embellishments!
I kept the large 6x8 photo pretty plain because I wanted it to stand out on it's own. So in the bottom corner I added two of the Could 9 gold label stickers. And that's it! I love how bright and cheery this layout is and it just goes to show you that you don't always need to have a spread full of pictures!
