World Card Making Day 2014

Hello everyone and happy WCMD! Suz here to welcome you and to ask the "must ask" question: Are you creating some cards today? I hope so! Even if it's just a few minutes out of your weekend.  You know you can find some time while a football game is on. ;) Or if you have a Saturday Morning soccer game to watch, take small notebook and sketch up some design ideas. That way, when you do have time, you already have a jump start!

The thing I like about cards is: They are simple; small scale version of scrapbooking pages. I love creating cards with leftover scraps or just because I want to play with paper and glue while watching a movie or show. Cards are also fun because they are near instant gratification as they usually take only a few minutes to make. Anddddd...they make people happy. Pure and simple. What person doesn't like happy mail. Seriously, even in the day of technology, in fact, more so because of technology, receiving a handmade card in the mail. It just screams...you are special and I was thinking of you. Right?!!

So, I took a few minutes to create a card in honor of this special creative day. To create it, I grabbed two patterned papers, some cork circle embellishments I had from my stash, some rub ons and some Chic Tags Stamps from last November's exclusive kits and 3 inks.
I stamped on the cork circles my sentiment and some falling leave and then stitched around the patterned papers.

To highlight the rest of my sentiment, I used an arrow rub on with "hello wonderful" text showing through from the patterned paper below and finished the sentiment by typing "fall" on a small bit of patterned paper. Then I attached with my Tiny Attacher. Bam! Done!
CHIC TAGS PRODUCTS USED: Good Tidings "Twinkle" patterned paper, Happy Place "Bookmark" patterned paper, Happy Place rub ons, November 2013 Kit Exclusive Stamps (sold out)

Jennie also created this fabulous card, using our Cloud 9 collection.
